About

Loki is an African pygmy hedgehog. He is named after the old Norse god because he is such a mischievous little guy (and I am a sucker for mythology). He was born on the 7th of March and his favourite things in life - besides sleeping and eating - include running in his wheel and chewing on everything.

I’m a girl from a small country in Europe. African pygmy hedgehogs are rare here, but we have wild European hedgehogs (which can cause some confusion if you tell you have a pet hedgehog!)
After the death of my first hedgehog I knew I wanted another somewhere in the future but I wasn’t really searching for one. Until I saw Loki’s ad on the internet. I fell in love with his picture (which only showed a small ball of quills and a tiny pink nose) and I decided I wanted to go and see him and that same day I took him home. I never regretted it!
I also have two Eurasian harvest mice.
